Engineers without borders at Luleå University of Technology are seeking new management team for 2021/2022! The different posts are described below. Regardless of position in the management team, you will have an opportunity to develop the local group together with the rest of the team. Most of the positions also includes regular meetings with others in similar positions all over Sweden.

Group Leader

As a group leader you have the utmost responsibility for Engineers Without Borders at LTU and you, together with the management team, work to drive the development of the group forward. You are responsible for the communication with the national board and ensure that the organisations values are followed. Together with the vice group leader, you work with planning and group dynamics. You lay the foundation of the management teams work and have a key impact on its execution in the local group.

It is beneficial if you have prior experience of management/leadership but its not required. Do you like to have an overview of everything and have the ability to see the big picture? Apply now and become our next group leader!

Vice Group Leader

As Vice Group leader you act as the right-hand of the group leader. You will have a big responsibility with a central role of the organisation and a good insight in the work of the different committees. Together with the group leader you will work strategically, handle planning and lay the foundation for the organisations further development. No previous knowledge is necessary, but good learning-skills and the will to learn new things is recommended. 

Head of Event 

As head of the event committee you will organize guest lectures, workshops and other events together with your committee. We want to challenge perspectives on how we can contribute to a sustainable future by using our competence within our field. Do you have an interest in learning to lead a group and arrange events? Then you should apply for the position as head of the event committee!

Head of PR 

In PR we work with marketing Engineers Without Borders and our events. As a head of PR, you have the opportunity to work with the association's identity and communication on social media, our way of being seen at the university and in Linköping in general. We offer a platform for thinking and implementing your own creative ideas. We are looking for people who are interested in everything from oral and written communication to photography, video and design - or just think that marketing in general seems fun! Project Coordinator

The project coordinators main task is to coordinate the international projects at Engineers without Borders at LTU. It means that you are the one making sure the national guidelines are followed. It also means that you’re the one coordinating the different competences in the projects and initiating new projects. You are also the contact for the projects at LTU so that you can help with organizational or administrative problems that might occur. As a part of a national network this role is a great opportunity to develop yourself as well as the organisation. Are you the social and organized leader we are searching for?

Head of Finance and Funding 

As the Head of Finance and Funding, you are responsible for the groups economy and you work with your committee to seek new external collaborations but also to maintain and preserve contact with existing partners. If you have ideas for new initiatives there are great opportunities to implement them. For this position, it is good if you are sales driven, creative and have great communication skills. It is also a great opportunity to expand your own network while playing a key role in enabling our international projects.

Head of Engineer to Engineer 

As head of E2E you and your committee will plan events to help integrate newly arrived engineers and scientists, such as fairs, resumé workshops, or interview training. You will also attend video meetings with the other heads of E2E once a month. E2E is a completely new committee in Luleå, which means that as head of it you will have the opportunity to form the group and the activities the way you want them, and to be part of something entirely new. To aid you in this work there exists a network of people who have successfully gotten their E2E activities to grow and flourish in other parts of Sweden.


General information

The workload varies between periods, but you should be prepared to work for at least 1-3h a week. The term usually lasts 1 year but you are very welcome to stay in the organization for as long as you would like and there are many opportunities to advance in the organization and try different areas both locally and nationally.
