Mentor for Mozambique WASH Project
We are now looking for an experienced mentor with a background in water engineering and/or environmental engineering, who can steer the project team working on the following project.

Project Name: Pre-study of water, sanitation and hygiene services at a healthcare facility in Linga Linga, Mozambique
Skills required in the project: Water resources engineering; Environmental monitoring and assessment; Preferably with prior experience engaging in developing countries
Description:
The KTH chapter has been in contact with the organisation Project Vita, a nonprofit organisation with roots in Sweden and Mozambique, to establish a partnership. Project Vita aims to implement technologies and transfer knowledge to the local area and people, focusing on Linga Linga village located in Morrumbene, Mozambique. The healthcare facility, consisting of a medical clinic and maternity clinic, in the village is lacking sufficient Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services which are crucial to prevent infections and provide quality care. In this project, EWB-SWE will conduct a pre-study to further investigate the WASH conditions and provide a report with recommendations for future improvements concerning the WASH situation at the facility.

Main responsibilities:
- Work with a team of students studying related disciplines;
- Provide advice on technical issues and project management to the team;
- Preside in internal meetings;
- Give 3 hours-per-week (flexible and dynamic working hours);
- Be able to communicate effectively within the team.
