We are looking for members to the The Reflective Engineer (DRI)-team!
Are you interested in sustainability, want to brainstorm new ideas, organise events and meet a lot of new people? Then you are the person we are looking for!
Engineers Without Borders KTH (EWB KTH) is a part of the national non-governmental organisation, which is striving to make a long-term impact in the work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The organisation not only conducts international development projects but also provides a platform for engineers from industry and academia for discussions, informative lectures or workshops. This is done in several events.
As Member of team DRI you are, together with the other members and the Head of The Reflective Engineer in the board, responsible for arranging events that invite students to reflect on how we as engineers can contribute to the society and work in a more sustainable way. For example, it may be through lunch lectures, workshops or case solving with topics such as sustainability and ethics within the technology industry. The group’s objectives are to initiate new projects and events, as well as to transform ideas into actual projects. If you are interested in a certain topic or have an idea of an event for how we can influence and work with sustainability, we will be happy to test it!
The role involves:
- Brainstorming new ideas and innovative ways to proceed with existing ideas
- Get in contact with organisations and companies with a sustainability approach
- Organise and participate during our events
What you can expect to gain from the role:
- The opportunity to interact with and inspire students and engineers to work sustainable in sciences and engineering
- A creative environment and freedom to innovate, with the support of a well-established organisation and management team.
- New friends! Maybe the most important of all. You will get to know new people in the Engineers Without Borders network and from other programs at KTH.
