The Uppsala local group of EWB-SWE targets both students and professionals, regardless of the subject area. Those passionate about contributing to a more sustainable world are welcome to join us.
No prior experience within EWB-SWE is required to apply for this role, if you thrive under the banner of freedom with responsibility then it is perfect for you! [As with all volunteer positions within EWB-SWE, this position is unpaid]
- You'll be responsible for the local group together with the Group Leader.
- You'll also be responsible for arranging activities such as team buildings for the local leading group as well as all volunteers in Uppsala.
- You'll have a lot of freedom, for example to create events or run new projects.
- You'll support the work of your team members and step in for the Group Leader when needed.
The role as a whole is quite free and you'll be able to take on the role as you like apart from some fixed tasks.
The entry applies for the Autumn term 2022 and Spring term 2023. The work starts with a transition period during May 2022 with you officially taking over as of 22-08-01, with regular work starting in early September 2022. During the transition period, you will get a good knowledge of EWB-SWE, with a big part of getting assistance from and working closely with the current volunteer. It is convenient if you study or work in Uppsala and can attend in-person meetings. Most importantly, you should have a genuine interest in the organization and aspire to make it even better.
