Role Description
As Project Coordinator of International Projects, you are the link between Uppsala’s Local Board and the National Coordination Group for International Projects. This means, among other things, that you supervise, oversee and report on the progress of the international projects and facilitate channels of communication between the National Board and Project Leaders. You'll get to work with lots of different projects in different fields, and be in contact with senior members of EWB who help you with knowledge, technical aspects and financials, to name a few. It's a great way to get an insight of humanitarian engineering in practice and it's amazing to be a part of what the projects accomplishes!
In the National Coordination Group that you also will be a part of you participate in and assess project ideas and project proposals. You also help with further development of the project process and methods for quality assurance.
Finally, as Project Coordinator, you are part of Uppsala’s EWB board and are therefore participating in Engineers Without Borders activities in Uppsala, where you have a lot of freedom to create events and projects with your colleagues in the leading group.
Onboarding
The entry applies for the Autumn term 2022 and Spring term 2023. The work starts with a transition period during May 2022 with you officially taking over as of 22-08-01, with regular work starting in early September 2022. During the transition period, you will get a good knowledge of EWB-SWE, with a big part of getting assistance from and working closely with the current volunteer. It is convenient if you study or work in Uppsala and can attend in-person meetings. Most importantly, you should have a genuine interest in the organization and aspire to make it even better.
