Mavuno Project and EWB-SWE are working together for over ten years to improve the educational situation in Karagwe, Tanzania by increasing children’s school presence and health through access to safe and reliable water, sanitation and hygiene.
The project aims to research and find long term and financial sustainable solutions for purifying water for the community.
Therefore, we are mainly looking for students with a background in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or chemical engineering, with experience in drinking water treatment and purification, or similar.

EWB would like to have students that are willing to travel to Chonyonyo village in Tanzania for approx. 2 months. Even though we can not promise that we will be able to offer you a project, we strongly recommend you to check with your program institution that it is ok for you to shape your own thesis based on this project. Also, it is up to you as a student to find your own examinator/supervisor.
** EWB cannot pay for the project and students have to look for funding themselves.
