Som ledare för Den reflekterande ingenjören går det ut på att brainstorma nya idéer och innovativa sätt att gå vidare med befintliga idéer, komma i kontakt med organisationer och företag med ett hållbarhetstänkande och anordna evenemang. Från rollen som ledare för den reflekterande ingenjören får du också möjlighet att interagera med och inspirera studenter och ingenjörer att arbeta hållbart inom naturvetenskap och teknik, en kreativ miljö och frihet att förnya, med stöd av en väletablerad organisation och ledningsgrupp . Du får också många nya vänner, vilket kan vara den viktigaste delen av det hela. I rollen som ledare för den reflekterande ingenjören har du ett veckomöte med ledningsgruppen, ett månadsmöte med den nationella gruppen och möten med din grupp ungefär varannan vecka.

För att lyckas i den här rollen måste du vara:
– En bra lagspelare
– En ledare som lyssnar på alla och tar alla tankar i beaktande
– Ett kreativt tänk, det uppmuntras att tänka utanför boxen för att komma med idéer till evenemang
Tid på volontärarbete?
Rollen tar cirka 2-3 timmar i veckan, utöver ett till två möten i veckan.

Are you interested in Engineers Without Borders and want to engage in something meaningful? Then you should apply for the position of Head of The Reflective Engineer (TRE) for Engineers Without Borders in Uppsala.
My role as head of The Reflective Engineer involves brainstorming new ideas and innovative ways to proceed with existing ideas, get in contact with organizations and companies with a sustainability approach and organize events. From the role as head of the reflective engineer you also gain the opportunity to interact with and inspire students and engineers to work sustainable in sciences and engineering, a creative environment and freedom to innovate, with the support of a well-established organization and management team. You also gain a lot of new friends, which may be the most important part of it all. In the role as group leader of the reflective engineer you have one weekly meeting with the leading group, one monthly meeting with the national group and meetings with your group approximately every other week.
What can you expect from the position?
- The position will give you the opportunity to transform your ideas into actual projects.
- You have a lot of freedom to dive deep into topics that interest you.
- A leading role within the local EWB team in Uppsala.
- You will learn how to lead a group
- You will make a lot of new friends
What do we expect from you?
The position doesn't require any prior knowledge, but it is beneficial if you:
- Take your responsibility
- Are ready to interact with a lot of new people and take the leading role
- That you are ready to put some time on this post
To achieve in this role you need to be
- A good team player
- A leader that listens to everyone and taker all thoughts in to consideration
- A creative mindset, it is encouraged to think outside the box to come up with ideas for events.
Time of engagement?
The role takes about 2-3 hours a week, in addition to one to two meetings a week.
