Are you interested in Engineers Without Borders and want to engage in something meaningful? Then you should apply for the position of Head of Finance for Engineers Without Borders in Uppsala.
What can you expect from the position?
As Head of Finance, you get the chance to learn a lot of new things, partly within the organization but also outside. As a committed person, you will learn to take responsibility and work in a group, communicate with new people and be creative for new projects! A new perspective on money and how much students are worth. On top of that, you get to hang out with a great group of people every week and hold a bunch of fun events!
What do we expect from you?
Your main task as financial manager is to strengthen the cooperation between EWB and companies. At the beginning of the year, I compiled which companies we would cooperate with during the year's events that EWB held together with other committees for the organization. At the same time as a continued contact with companies and our partners to benefit the student.
Time of engagement?
At the beginning of the spring, there is more work because you have to familiarize yourself with the work as a circle around EWB. As Head of Finance, there are always emails to answer or send away, the work never ends. It is up to you to decide how much work you want to put in. I chose to spend more time in periods and would perhaps say that it averaged about 3-4 hours a week.
