Do you want to join the journey to drastically improve the integration of newly arrived academics in Sweden? Then you've come to the right place!

Engineers Without Borders’ new integration project StepIn is run by 4 volunteers. Together we want to create a platform where newly arrived academics and companies can meet and establish a long lasting contact. It is our ambition that this will accelerate their transition into the industry.

We are building a platform and a certification program that seeks to improve the newly arrived job seekers chances to enter the labour market. With a pilot project with another company/organization around the corner we want to further develop our product more rapidly. We are therefore currently looking for someone to help us develop our relationship with companies, and to manage and develop our contact with newly arrived academics, this upcoming year.

Volunteer description

The duties of the Company Manager can be summarized as:
  • Manage the companies connected to the project.
  • Manage newly arrived academics.
  • Conduct interviews with both companies and academics.
  • Be apart of general development and projection of the project.

We are looking for competences such as:

  • Strategic thinking.
  • Result oriented.
  • Outgoing and people oriented.

As Company Manager within Engineers Without Borders Sweden you will:

  • Get a chance to develop a project that potentially will be used by multiple companies and job seekers.
  • Get experience in a real world company management project for a large organization.
  • Become part of a large network consisting of university students and working professionals.
  • Make a difference

The work is continuous over the year. We have evening meetings every Wednesday where all members of the Project are expected to participate. As a web developer you will be expected to solve problems autonomously, but always have the opportunity to be in contact and receive help from the rest of the group. We would like to emphasize that previous experience is not a prerequisite, but it is important to us that you have a genuine interest in our organisation and that you are ready to contribute to make it even better.

If you have questions, do not hesitate to send us an email to!
