My name is Tove Florén and I am the Head of Engineer to Engineer (E2E) at EWB KTH. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, focusing on Water and Wastewater Engineering. I have a strong interest in health and sanitation issues as well as in environmental toxicology and hope to professionally work with these very important and interesting questions after graduation.

Why did you choose to get involved with EWB?

I have since many years back had an interest in inequality issues, and what attracted me to EWB was the opportunity to use engineering to enable a positive social and environmental change in the world. I felt that I connected with the vision of EWB, and that I have a responsibility to use the skills I obtain through my education to make a positive change to the world.

What does team E2E do?

E2E aims to give the possibility to engineers and scientists, who are newly arrived or have a refugee background, to a swift integration into the Swedish labour market and society. We do this through events such as, interview training, CV workshops and case events. This simultaneously creates a platform for engineers and scientists with different backgrounds to network and come in contact with companies and potential employers.
