Vice international project coordinator - Stockholm Group

About us

Engineers Without Borders is a non-profit, politically and religiously independent organization. Locally in Stockholm, the organization Engineers Without Borders is operated by the board, which consists of committed working professionals.

Engineers without borders work with five main areas: International projects, Inspire youth, The Reflective Engineer, Engineer to engineer and Open hack. At this time, we have three international projects ongoing and we are aiming to start up more projects.  


About the role:

As Vice International Projects Coordinator, you would work alongside Anisa Zigaf who is the International Projects Coordinator. You will together find a suitable working method and collaborate on driving the projects forward, handling administration and participating on meetings with the local and national board. You have tremendous opportunity to shape the direction of this role and what type of projects we work with. 


What can you expect?

  • At least 3-5 years of experience with project management or project coordination. 
  • Academic background in engineering or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Experience working with international projects. 
  • A strong interest in and knowledge in humanitarian engineering.
  • Ability to work with others with a good cooperative skill.
  • Responsible, driven, and able to work independently, with guidance from staff members.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Can perform administrative work in a structured way.
  • Full professional proficiency in English (official working language at EWB-SWE) and Swedish (for grant applications)
  • Previous experience of work for the non-profit sector is a plus.


Time of engagement?

The work is entirely voluntary, and the amount of work will vary depending on your level of commitment. However, typically 2-4 hours per week is to be expected.
