Vice Group Leader - Chalmers

Engineers Without Borders is a nonprofit, politically and religiously independent organization which with engineering and science, entrepreneurship, and project expertise tries to contribute to a better world. This is an unpaid position, but hopefully, you will earn valuable experience!
Note: EWB is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers and only offers unpaid positions and this position is for students only.
We are looking for a Vice Group Leader in Engineers Without Borders Chalmers Student Union. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work as a project leader and develop your leadership- and communication skills while connecting with other EWB members from all over Sweden.
As Group Leader, or Vice Group Leader, you are responsible for the local board and to arrange weekly board meetings, as well as continuously supporting the local operations. Furthermore, the Group Leader will handle the contact with the national board. Together with the Vice Group Leader, you will handle the planning and lay the foundations for the local organisation’s work during the year. Therefore, you have a tremendous opportunity to shape the direction of the local organisation.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Driven and has good collaborative skills that will ensure progress for the group in the future.
- Eager to develop their leadership abilities and management skills.
- Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English.
- Willing to put in the effort approximately 4 hours a week.
- Able to stay in the role for at least a year.
Previous engagement within Engineers Without Borders desirable but not required. We also encourage those who are currently studying their bachelor to apply to these positions.
